Treasury Accountant
We are seeking an experienced Treasury Accountant to play a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of the company's financial resources. This involves overseeing cash flow, managing liquidity, and maintaining strong banking relationships to support both operational and strategic objectives. The Treasury Accountant is crucial in safeguarding the financial health of the organization by implementing effective treasury policies, mitigating financial risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor and manage daily cash balances to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Execute and oversee daily cash positioning, funding requirements, and reconciling the cash balance to ensure actual cash is tied up to the report.
• Monitor and manage cash customer accounts to ensure on time payment and minimal pending incentives.
• Settlement for the shipments is done on time to ensure customer accounts are up to date and complete.
• Prepare and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to analyse trends in order to anticipate future cash requirements and optimize cash utilization.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and ensure all collections and payments are accounted for and tied up to the system.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Oversee the processing of payments, including vendor payments, payroll, and other disbursements.
• Prepare weekly payment plan and work with the Account Payable team to ensure all payments are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
• Monitor and manage the company’s debt obligations to handle loan agreements, and interest payments, and ensure timely servicing of debt.
• Prepare regular reports on cash position, cash flow forecasts, and other treasury-related metrics.
• Provide insights and analysis for senior management to inform decision-making.
• Develop and implement treasury policies and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks related to liquidity, interest rates, and foreign exchange.
• Develop strategies and maintain all applicable insurance policies to cover risks effectively.
• Work closely with other departments to support overall financial goals and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits related to treasury functions.
REQUIREMENT
The Successful Applicant:
• Bachelor’s Degree/CAT in finance and accounting or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial management, treasury, or a related field.
• Experience in managing investment portfolios, including selecting and monitoring investment opportunities
• Experience in managing debt, including overseeing loan agreements, interest payments, and refinancing.
• Experience in compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
• Experience in preparing and supporting internal and external audits.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
