Within my current role as Project HSE Manager of the new Midfield Terminal Project (Abu Dhabi Airport) I report directly to the Project Director, CMA & Client (ADAC)
I am responsible for overseeing the Health Safety and Welfare of approximately 20,000 workforce including direct employees and subcontractors. I am head of 7 departments, HSE, Environment & Waste Management, LOTO Team, Training Department, Emergency Response Team, Project Clinic equipped with Ambulance, paramedics and 3 doctors and Security Team of 400 providing cover 24/7.
I provide support to the Construction & MEP Staff to ensure compliance with internal Procedures and Policies, maintain Certification to OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 through internal auditing, conducting investigations, develop and deliver internal training, conducting Vendor Assessments on contractors and suppliers as part of the Tendering Process. I am also responsible in ensuring that the Worker Welfare Standards are maintained within the accommodation and site facilities.
