Primary Math and Science Teacher (Part time morning)

M-TEL International School is looking for passionate, qualified, and experienced Primary Math and Science Teacher to join our teaching team for the school year 2024-2025.

The successful candidate will start the job on Monday, September 2nd, 2024.

- Teach Math and Science subjects to Primary students (G3 and 4, or G5 and 6)

- Provide a safe and warm learning environment

- Make learning fun and engaging for students

- Establish good rapport with students and parents

- Prepare weekly lesson plans, worksheets, and homework

- Assess and evaluate student knowledge

- Write quizzes, projects and exams

- Correct and grade student work (homework, quizzes, projects and exams)

- Report and discuss students’ progress with staff and admin

- Provide remedial help to weak students

- Complete Term Report Card

- Conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences (3 times per year)

- Participate and support activities which promote student success

- Support school events

- Devote time to extra-curricular activities

- Share best teaching practices with colleagues

- Other tasks as required

• Part-time morning (7:30 am to 12:30 pm, Monday to Friday)

• 1 year contract contract

• Degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education

• Teaching License or Certificates

• Minimum 1 year teaching experience at the elementary level

• Has passion and finds joy in working with children

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Professional, creative and flexible

• Well organized, hard-working and dedicated

• A team player

• Computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Office)

• Can teach arts and crafts

• Able to teach student performances for school events

• Follows school policies, expecations, rules and procedures
