We are seeking an experienced person professionally for the position of Finance Controller to lead in the financial management, providing leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the company. The primary purpose of the Finance Controller role is to ensure Financial Accuracy and Compliance, and all financial transactions and reports comply with local, state, and federal laws, as well as with accepted accounting principles and company policies. The person will oversee the company's financial processes, including budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. As a Finance Controller, in establish and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management. The Finance Controller uses their understanding of the company's financial position to provide insights and recommendations for business strategic decisions such as capital structure decisions, investment evaluations, and risk management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Report to: CFO

Job Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management, ensuring financial accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal company policies.
  • Develop and implement strong internal controls, financial procedures, and policies to support sound financial governance and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports—such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports—to inform executive decision-making.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership on areas such as capital structure, investment opportunities, and risk management.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance, accurate and timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align financial plans with business objectives and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Address and resolve financial and operational challenges by driving process improvements, enhancing forecast accuracy, and ensuring the efficiency of financial systems.
  • Lead or support the implementation and integration of financial systems and tools to improve reporting capabilities, data flow, and decision-making effectiveness.
  • Navigate sensitive financial topics with discretion, maintaining the balance between transparency and confidentiality, especially when dealing with strategic issues or underperforming results.
  • Align internal stakeholders around strategic financial initiatives, building consensus through negotiation, influence, and well-structured financial analysis.
REQUIREMENT

The Successful Applicant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • 7–10 years of experience in finance/accounting, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in public accounting and corporate finance; FMCG or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
  • Strong skills in compliance, risk management, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and team leadership abilities.
  • Fluent in English; other language is a plus.
