Part-time Classroom Facilitator for English Preparatory Program

(for Cambodian nationals only)

 

Paragon International University is seeking a competent part-time Classroom Facilitator for the English Preparatory Program, aiding students during their self-study periods in the EPP Learning Lab. The English Preparatory Program uses a blended learning approach, with the students engaging in self-study in the EPP Learning Lab for 2 hours per day before attending their teacher-led sessions.

 

Details:

  • Duration: Monday, May 5, 2025 – Thursday, July 24, 2025 (12 weeks)
  • Working Days: Monday – Thursday (4 days per week)
  • Working Hours: 10am – 12noon; 1pm – 3pm (4 hours per day)
  • Total Hours: 192 hours (16 hours per week x 12 weeks)
  • Reports to: EPP Director
  • Salary: basic hourly rate for teaching assistant

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance and support to students as they navigate self-study materials and resources.
  • Monitoring and managing the learning environment to ensure a conducive and productive atmosphere for self-study.
  • Offering clarification and explanations when students encounter challenges or questions during their self-study sessions.
  • Tracking students' progress and performance to identify areas for additional support or intervention.
  • Engaging with students individually to provide personalized assistance and address their specific learning needs.
  • Checking students' attendance.
REQUIREMENT

Requirements:

  • Cambodian national with excellent Cambodian and English language proficiency.
  • Completed BA in English or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching English at the high school/university level is a plus.
  • Strong digital literacy in theory and practice is a plus.
  • Familiarity with a "flipped classroom" approach to pedagogy is a plus.
  • IT literate (competence in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and Google Classroom) is essential.
  • Student-oriented, able to develop positive relationships with students, and dedicated to helping them succeed.
