KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance Business Partner – Commercial to play a critical role as a strategic liaison between the finance function and the commercial and sales operations of the company. The individual is responsible for providing strategic financial support to the commercial and sales team, helping to drive growth and profitability. This role will partner with key stakeholders to deliver financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and ensure financial discipline within commercial and sales operations. This can include assessing the financial viability of new initiatives, evaluating performance against financial objectives, or advising on pricing strategies. They also help the commercial team plan their financial activities effectively which could involve developing budgets, forecasting revenues and costs, or setting financial targets. On top of that, they also monitor the financial performance of commercial and sales operations by tracking key financial performance indicators and providing regular financial reports to the management.

Job Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial Planning forecasts for the commercial function.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights that support long-term business growth and profitability to management.
  • Provide financial support for strategic initiatives, including new product launches, market expansion, and strategic partnerships
  • Evaluate the financial implications of initiatives and provide recommended strategies to improve margins.
  • Oversee the commercial budgeting process management to develop budgets, track actual performance against budget, and manage any variances.
  • Develop key financial performance indicators for the commercial and monitor these KPIs to provide regular reports to management.
  • Support the development of business cases for new commercial initiatives including financial modeling, risk analysis, and return on investment analysis.
  • Work with the commercial team on Cost Control to identify opportunities for cost savings initiatives and efficiency improvements.
  • Act as the key liaison between the finance department and the commercial team to ensuring strong communication and collaboration.
  • Executive Reporting by presenting financial insights and recommendations to senior management
REQUIREMENT

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/CAT in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in a business partnering role, commercial side of a business, or in the specific industry of the organization.
  • Experience working in financial advice, guidance, and strategic decision-making
  • Experience in a commercial role, such as sales or marketing, can be beneficial.
  • Understand the unique financial dynamics of the industry.
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, financial modelling tools, or data analysis software such as SAP, or financial management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
