Secondary Science and Health Teacher (Part Time Morning)

M-TEL International School is looking for a passionate, qualified, and experienced Secondary Science and Health Teacher join our teaching team for the school year 2024-2025.

The successful candidate will start on Monday, Sepetember 2nd, 2024.  New School Year begins on Monday September 9th, 2024.

- Teach Science and Health Education subject to Secondary students (G7, 8, & 9)

- Provide a safe and warm learning environment

- Prepare weekly lesson plans and homework

- Correct and grade student work

- Assess and evaluate student knowledge

- Write quizzes and exams for each subject

- Prepare Term Report Card

- Conduct Parent Teacher Conferences

- Participate and support school events

- Support activities which promote student success

- Share best teaching practices with colleagues

- Follow school policies and procedures

- Report and discuss students’ progress with head teacher and supervisor

- Provide remedial help to weak students if required (11:30 am - 12:00 pm)

- Other tasks as required

• Part time morning (7:30 am to 12:30 pm, Monday to Friday)

• 1 year contract

• Degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education (major in Science)

• Teaching License or Certificates (preferred)

• Minimum 1 year teaching experience at the secondary level

• Has passion and finds joy in working with children

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Professional, creative and flexible

• Well organized, hard-working and dedicated

• Computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Office)

• A team player
