Associate Lending Manager

About The Role
Role Location: Phnom Penh
Role Type: Permanent – Full Time

As the Associate Lending Manager, you will be responsible for growing the customer base by acquiring new customers and for contributing to the retention and increase in business profitability through portfolio growth.

Key accountabilities include:

• Working closely with Senior Sales Manager as well as with the Retail Lending team as part of the strategy to ensure Retail achieves its Mortgage targets
• Developing strong relationships with customers to drive repeat business and advocacy
• Fostering relationships with referral sources (Branch, and Business Centres)
• Driving Main Bank and share of wallet through need based customer conversations
• Identifying referral opportunities for customers and building relationships with internal referral partners including branches and Financial Planning
• Effectively and efficiently execute prospective customers for approval and drawdown   
• Ensuring adherence to ANZ policies, processes and external regulatory and legislative requirements including sales management processes
• Assisting the branch and other referral sources to build basic mortgage enquiry handling capability and identifying sales opportunities
• Providing quality forecasts on approvals and drawdowns on a weekly basis
• Supporting and encouraging the knowledge, capability, confidence and motivation amongst team members
• Adherence to risk governance policies, processes and standards
• Identifying risk and security issues in the lending process and determining remediation plans

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following –

• Extensive experience in relationship management and sales
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English & Khmer
• Experience in mortgage writing (a preference)
• Sound understanding of the credit assessment process
• Understanding of the full range of transactional & lending products to meet customer needs
• Experience in the delivery of tasks requiring pro-activeness, activeness, sound judgement, and the ability to solve problems
• Demonstrated enthusiasm and organisational, leadership, and time management skills
• Strong customer focus coupled with negotiation skills
